Ferrari interviewing a woman who breastfeeds her 7-year-old daughter.

    1. Will J O'B be able to resist this topic? :o

    2. If Ms. Hopkins is listening, I look foward to her tweets on the subject! :D

    Morning all. :)

Never cease to be amazed at the posters trying to dictate the running of a radio programme based on nothing more than their prejudices against an individual presenter.. You can skweem and skweem, stamp your feet and bleat 'it's not fair' all you want. Here's a hint, it's nothing to do with you. The station's obligations are to comply legally with its broadcasting licence and make a profit for its ultimate shareholders.

Which is why I no longer listen.

And this forum exists for praise and criticism, as you yourself are demonstrating.

Well, people are going to say what they don't like that's understandable. But I do think that continually harking back to how the station was years or even decades ago is a waste of energy. If LBC did revert back it would probably sound horribly dated. A bit like Clive Dull :D

As for prejudices, I think not being able to separate a presenter from their political leanings and recognise their talents or failings in spite of them is a bit immature.

There is something very, very wrong with Brian. There really can't be much longer for the radio travesty that is the ever cliched Brian and his champagne socialist / useful idiot show. When will LBC replace this buffoon?

Apologies for my absenteeism from the forum for some time. My monitoring and research has been occupied elsewhere during the General Election and I have just returned from a well earned break. Hope everyone is well and thank you to all who sent PM's asking about my whereabouts. I will respond as soon as possible.

Back to monitoring supercillious and pompous Brian on Friday this week. Best wishes.

Bring it ON! :p Did you hear the other week he was bragging that he was being courted by U.S TV for a show there. Yes James. In your head you were.

Did anyone hear if JOB passed comment on Hopkins covering for him yesterday?

God, I really hope so. This was his response to a texter this morning: "You haven't just arrived from Sangatte -- have you? -- or somewhere like that, 'cause your English is appalling."

But I fear, for some unfathomable reason, LBC will cling onto this nasty, smug loser until his last breath.

How mean and unkind of you to expect some poor sod to listen to 3 hrs of hell-inflicting, fury-inducing drivel just to find out if he mentioned KH covering for him?!!:p:o:cool::D

For what it's worth, I listened for the best part of 40 mins before I found myself forthing at the mouth and, for my health's sake, decided to switch off. He hadn't mentioned her up to that point. Etiquette dictates that one would pass on their thanks to another within the first few minutes of broadcasting. That he didn't attempt to do this within 40 mins suggests to me that he never did for the rest of the 2 hrs and 20mins he had left of his show.

Brian knows that it's time to move on. He's doing all he can to get TV work but his shows have been utterly ludicrous and his smug hunchbacked antics seem to have been panned by all viewers. I suspect Mrs Brian is insisting that Brian keeps his current work hours so he can take care of the school run while she bakes cakes with her sister or some such Mumsnet inspired activities.

Steve Allen is a hugely obese man who dislikes obese people and regularly castigates them on his graveyard shift radio show. There are several other groups of people that he dislikes and very often they are exactly the same as him - eg. Marys and the "mentally ill". What is wrong with him?

Has he done anything in particular or is it just general stuff? I only got as far as " Welcome to the 4 o'clock spike" before I dozed off this morning. :D

There seems to be a considerable 'spike' in his name being mentioned on Twitter and people laughing uncontrollably about his silliness, his repetition of the text number and his huge weight issue.

I wonder why? It's very unbecoming of a man of his advancing years, isn't it?

He regularly regales his listeners how he was mentioned in The Grauniad by some journo who found his show likeable/amusing/different but who obviously perhaps did not realise that Vallen's output was repetitious day in and day out with the same old same old ad nauseam.

Wind your neck in LD .. No one is trying to ' dictate ' policy , we're commenting on what is already served . This is a chance to put OUR view , and not theirs . If I think a presenter is talking garbage , am I not allowed to vent it and at the same time , explain WHY ? Why do you call a presenter's opinion valid and just , whilst mine is ' prejudiced ' ?
Here's a thought . Some opinions are wrong and the world is going to hell in a handcart because we are sitting by saying NOTHING . . Think about it . ;-)
