I would agree it got off to a slightly shakey start - I confess that without Silas/Monroe I might not have stuck with it. So I actually agree with Cloudbuster that the supporting cast played a large role initially in keeping the program going. BUT I disagree that this was a bad thing.
There is a mini discussion going on over on the Glee thread about making people unwelcome if they don't completely worship Glee - I was told to go to a different Forum:eek: So I would never tell anyone to keep their negative views out of a thread. I would normally just not respond lol:D

Then, for me, Nick suddenly 'Grimmed up' and started getting a bit more interesting. I still don't think he could carry it by himself - but then Buffy never did. Nor Angel. While Grimm is less of an ensemble piece than say FireFly - Nick is definately supposed to be the main attraction - he does have his 'Scoobys'. Just that, apart from Monroe and Roselee, they don't know it yet:D And I'm not sure what side the Captain is on. So, not really like Buffy's Scooby's at all:o

yep that was when it started to get good when he started to kick arse and find his stash of crossbows and other goodies, cant decide about the captain but think he likes nick a fair bit and will be able to use his grimmness to make himself more of a powerhouse
I watched the first 9 eposides. half way through no 10, I thought how one dimensional Grimm was and how it was the supporting cast who were making it interesting. For me that is the wrong recipe and decided there and then to can it.
You're right about Grimm being one-dimensional at first but his character was developing and being re-defined throughout the series through those episodes principally because of the supporting cast;until finally, Nick's Grimm emerged as a more multi-faceted character--- so much so that his view of Grimm might clash with his family's view of Grimm, if that makes sense. And, if pulled off well, it makes for interesting story lines.
I knew it was his mum as soon as she appeared. I don't think Juliette will remember a thing though, which will be interesting as to whether he tells her again.
Looking forward to season 2.
Well that was a much better season finale then the lacklustre Supernatural one I watched just before it.
Lots of cliffhangers though, good job there's a 2nd season
We were told IIRC that Nick started seeing Wesen because his Aunt was dying but I don't believe we were ever told when Marie become one (after her sisters death or some time before). If the latter it would have meant both sisters were Grimms at the same time.
While it was clear the woman in black was a Grimm I didn't work out exactly who she was till just before it was revealed, still I was right about Juliette being infected with something rather than killed.
I'm *sure* that we were told Aunt Marie became a Grimm when/after Nick's mother died (with it starting while she was dying), as that was what screwed up her relationship with the guy from The Good Wife / Sons of Anarchy.
And it seemed clear that Nick only became a Grimm himself because Aunt Marie died.
So... if his mother is still alive, how did the power pass from her to Marie to Nick?

I thought it had more to do with the fact that she now had Nick to look after that caused Marie to split with Colt.
She certainly knew what Colt was before that as her family did not approve of the relationship.
Given that AFAWK both of the Brothers Grimm had the ability to see Wesen it's not impossible for 2 or more members of a family to be Grimms at the same time.
Just watched the season finale. I wonder if Juliette will become the 'Big Bad' in season 2??
Glad to see Rosalee back, she really fits in with the team and happy to have her as a regular next season. I hope the same thing with Adalind.
Bring on season 2

The funny thing is Nick became a Grimm before she died, he just says it was when she died for some strange reason.

The way I thought of it was that Aunt Marie gained the Grimm abilities but never actually used them much until her sister died. Could be wrong... But, that's what watching the show in re-runs is all about until August.
Hopefully Mamma Grimm will exsplain at some point early in season three
Just wonder what she's going to make of Monroe!!
And does she know about the Captain!!
As for Juliette - I don't think she'll be the big bad. Either Rosalee or Mamma Grimm (or both) will save her - Not sure if she'll stick around though!! Nick's Grimmness has put her in mortal danger at least three times now. Self preservation has got to kick in at some point:D

I'd say its for anyone.

I thought it was an excellent finale and I hate bloomin' cliffhangers too
I was wondering what the hell is Juliette infected with? Will she be a witch or something now?
Interesting....
