Out of all the entries in that competition, they deserved at least one point. And if only for diplomatic reasons and knowing damn well how the others vote politically, why couldn't they afford one bloody point?

Absolutely - I only watch it for Terrys commentary myself, yet we are still one of the very few countries to vote fairly. Something to think about, at the very least.

We didn't vote for Ireland this year, which shows that we don't always vote because of loyalty and it was fair.
I did notice a few posts on here that BBC Radio 2 switched from Eurovision coverage to music during the voting. Did that happen and if so, did they give any explanation as to why?
But the "make your mind up" show (aka the entry decision) was the rethink because things were going so badly wasan't it?
Cyndi would have scored higher - we voted for the wrong song! Her power ballad was better than Serbias - and she is better looking than Serbia's singer!

Why? Let's face it we could put forward an outstanding entry and we still wouldn't win.
Look at the reality of it. The countries knocked out in the semis: Norway, Switzerland, Denmark. The countries in the bottom third of the final results: Ireland, UK, France, Spain, Germany etc.
Unless we manage to move our country to Eastern Europe, or have some big civil war so we can split and enter as individual countries then we don't stand a chance.
All the Western European countries were piled up at the bottom and almost all of them had a pass into the final. If they hadn't this would be entirely an Eastern European song festival. Only Scandinavian countries plus Iceland can keep up there as they always vote for each other as they have cross border populations.
I'm very cross with all the Brits in the Dordogne and on the Costa del Sol who do not support their own country, although obviously the first lot are too posh to watch and the second lot too old to text.

I really don't think so, find some Maltese news sites. They were furious at being eliminated. It is BIG news there.
And Serbia was at war with half the countries that gave them 12 points.
