I'd like to see Chance In A Million with Simon Callow and Brenda Blethyn.
As far as I know, it's never been shown since the original run when Channel 4 started.
I don't know what this series was called, but I recall it showing on, I'm fairly sure, ITV children's TV in about 1974 or 1975. It was about a family who get a mirror, and the boy and girl are able to see into the past through the mirror, seeing things like Cavaliers and Roundheads.
Also, does anyone else remember a kid's series called Bonny, about pirates, shown at about the same time on the BBC, as well as a series called Star Boy, about a blond teenager who looks human but is from another planet, and is sent to earth for some reason. The latter was on ITV in 1975.
There was also The Queen and The Robot, another kid's programme, on the BBC in 1974 or 1975.
Thanks for the info. I think that I might go out and buy the Robinson Crusoe DVD. I have some eposides on vhs, I also have the cd with the music.
It would be nice to see the following again.
Deputy Dawg
Secret Squirel (have i spelt that right)
Orlando
Do you have the original Crusoe cd?
That was barely 35 minutes of music.
A few years later they unearthed tapes they thought were lost and re-released the entire soundtrack on a cd running around 75 minutes.
Unlikely that any of Orlando still exists.
Even shows of that era that carried on via Thames are also lost.
And remember Wally Gator, and the Hair Bear Bunch?
IN the US Warner have released a series of double dvd sets called Saturday Morning Cartoons featuring selected episodes from all sorts of classic 60's and 70's toons including Hair Bear Bunch.
R2 only consumers will like the fact these US releases are also coded for R2.

DVD releases of all of this show have been appearing all this year.
I believe it completes with the last series and a complete boxset in October
Someone mentioned "Our Friends In The North" - would love this on a DVD boxset as it was one of the best dramas of the last 30 years. You'd also get my vote for Grange Hill box sets and Jossy's Giants, plus a DVD of the Rotters Club - which was beautifully made, and acted...oh,and had Alice Eve in it as well :-)....
Two shows will never get a re-run due to clearances and will never end up on DVD either, but would love to see...Victor Lewis-Smith's Bygones and TV Offal.

Are you THE Dave Nightingale - Mr SIG himself?
Our Friends In the North has been deleted and selling for £100+ for a while.
It's re-released later this year.
GH boxsets failed , not sure why.
I have my own dvd's of the show that I recorded myself. PM if interested.

Like other ATV shows of that era its likely that vast swathes of General Hospital are MIA.
All 3 of the other shows are out on dvd and BOBW was repeated on G+ but it was badly cut

I have the CD The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe
playing time 76.34 Its a nice thing to have.
That sounds like 'Way Upstream', written by Alan Ayckbourn.
Oh might be, yes, although my memory thought it more of a horror than black comedy as suggested by IMDB. Doubt I will ever get to see it again though. (Why is so much good stuff left on the archive shelves  )
Also, does anyone else remember a kid's series called Bonny, about pirates,
I seem to recall this. Wasn`t Bonny a woman who dreamt about being a pirate and her co workers/friends were fellow pirates. It must be 35 years ago and counting.
I don't think Peak Practice was ever repeated was it? Or if it was on satellite channels they didn't run all of the episodes. Not sure why as it was very popular at the time.
this was repeated very recently on itv3... about a year ago i think; from the beginning to the bitter end!
I also remember that from the early 1990's. The first episode was repeated on BBC4 a few years ago but they didn't show the whole series. (4 episodes).
I bought it on DVD last week, it is still as funny as I remember.
This programme was shown on Channel 4.Series 1 was shown in 1991 & Series 2 was shown in 1993.Too the best of my knowledge neither series has been repeated since then.
Does anyone remember The Moon Stallion and The Haunting of Cassie Palmer? They are from the 70's I think. I thought I had tracked down a DVD of The Moon Stallion but it turned out to be in German.

Oh I enjoyed that at the time, I'll have to give that the looksee, thanks
Found him utterly charmless and rarely amusing in News for you and pretty much everything else he's ever done apart from Room 101 and his Hollywood Documentaries.
"Watching" a romantic comedy about two young lovers in Liverpool, with a dopey looking lad who has been in loads of stuff since and little Emma Wray as the fiesty girlfriend, who has never been in anything since, Liza Tarbuck was her sister and I think Billy Mitchell from East Enders was the work colleague in a gentlemens outfitters.

And remember Wally Gator, and the Hair Bear Bunch?
Also, does anyone recall kids' series The Strange Affair of Adelaid Harris and The Enchanted Castle, both from 1979?
Raffles... with the delectable anthony valentine
and General Hospital... 1970's hospital drama with Tony Adams and Lynda Bellingham
I also vote for Rock Follies Bouquet of Barbed Wire and Danger UXB
No we don't. Only have Freeview. Thanks anyway though.
