...without the help of machinery ? - it's really baffled me; I mean, how did they make something like this :

Yes - if you search YouTube you can find some old footage which shows its construction.
I think it's in Blackburn somewhere.
I was thinking that, but then, was the scaffolding strong enough to lift all that heavy stone to that height ?
