Don't think they'll win anyway to be honest.

I just hope we don't have a 2011 scenario again with no clear winner and Azerbaijan sneaking it. With Turkey out again this year Azerbaijan will pick up a lot of their diaspora votes.

But Start A Fire isn't anywhere near as instant as Running Scared.

Azerbaijan is probably my favourite of the "frontrunners" this year. I wouldn't actually mind if they won with it.

I can already tell you this will not happen ;-);-) In fact, I can also tell you that Greece won't give Cyprus any points.

that theory was put to the test in other years when Turkey stayed away; Azerbaijan didn't get the Turkish diaspora vote.

    I'm 'ing on your behalf

If you're going to use a tired old cliche, at least check that it's still relevant.

no he's been posting 'political voting' comments in other threads. He genuinely believes this nonsense.

I agree, I bet Bulgaria will give Greece points too. Serbia will get loads of 12's from the other ex-yugoslavs too.

I think it's more a case of "if you're going to insult something a lot of people enjoy, at least get your facts right".

The Cypriot-Greek voting exchange is more of an aspect of cultural voting then political voting. They speak the same language and have more or less the same "celebrities", it's no different that when we gave Jedward 12 in '11

Quick question: will Sebalter have to whistle live on stage in Copenhagen?

I just watched his performance in Amsterdam on YouTube and he was seemingly miming the whistling part - but will it be classed as a vocal?

    True.

Also, I have a friend who is Greek Cypriot (born in Nicosia but came over to the UK when he was very young, but a Cypriot national) and he considers himself Greek before Cypriot- even though he's never visited "the mainland".

Stormby's at it again! This time with a Dancing In The Rain remix. :)

    https://soundcloud.com/stormby/ruth-lorenzo-dancing-in-the-rain-stormby-mix-edit

Just what I need for a Friday, ta muchly :D

I've spent most of the week listening to the official CD, has really helped me attempt to rank the songs. There are only two I really despise now - Georgia and Belgium.

Albania has grown on me so much, she sounds like Shakira a lot in places. Malta has finally clicked with me too, the little piano melody that appears during the verses is so heavenly.

Lithuania I've gone off a lot, it sounds really harsh in studio version. Not a great lover of Italy or the Netherlands either.

Biggest travesty though - why is so Moldova so low in the ranking??? It is such a great song, turn it up loud and it sounds lush.

And Portugal too, just amazing, I am trying to learn the words so I can sing along. :D
