All Star Mr & Mrs got off to a decent start. The 22% share seems slightly on the high end for it.

I hope the last ever Law & Order UK did alright although it wasn't promoted at all and the series ended weeks ago so I doubt it did much sadly.

Interesting that Corrie and EE will clash on 23rd June. When was the last time that happened?

Really? I know with ED it can (oh don't we know that!!) but I thought itv/bbc agreed with it that them two never clash? Hence the second corrie airing right after EE finishes.. hmm.. is it full 30 mins or like 5/10 mins?

Trouble is, Mary Portas is telling us her opinion is right and the way she does things is the only way to do it. It speaks volumes that people are turning off because there are enough arrogant people in the real world let alone watching one for entertainment.

You cant say that !! Look how successful she was regenerating all those high streets - oh hang on........

Is a 22% share quite high for a 4.15m rating? Credit to ITV, but does it suggest that the overall telly audience was quite low last night?

I don't have any doubt though, that ITV's schedule last night was more varied and appealing than the same old dross on BBC1.

BBC1 was atrocious on Wednesday. Rubbish filler factual. Watchdog can't even reach 4m anymore, Rogue Traders should never have become part of it and both shows should have stayed at half an hour.

Rogue Traders and its spin off Rogue Restaurants used to be popular programmes, the BBC ruined the former by making it a Watchdog feature. The latter should have been kept as a programme, Food Inspectors is the same show in essence but does worse.

Del boys and Dealers lost me with the title alone. ITV was the better option on paper. Well if you don't have multi-channel TV anyway.

Look at this. Wasn't Mary Portas a big signing for Channel 4.

"@TVRatingsUK: On Channel 4 at 8pm, #MarysSilverService fell flat with just 0.47m/2.5% watching, down 230k on last week."

She is the most patronising arrogant woman on telly, and the elderly involved in this seem to be the same sort of wannabe on television sort as the younger TOWIE etc.

She is a charmless woman and is turning into Channel 4's next Hilary Devey. Switch channels and it hasn't worked. I think Jamie Oliver was the last BBC2 name to switch and do just as well/better on Channel 4. Heston Blumenthal hasn't quite had the same ratings as his BBC2 days.

    Great shares!

EE is not going to come out of that clash well at all, can't believe one of them didn't move, when was the last time they clashed?

The only information that I've found is that they clashed on 10 August 2001. Below is an article from Broadcast and EE beat Corrie by 1 million. It was around the time EE went from 3 eps to 4 eps a week.

RATINGS - Coronation Street loses head-to-head battle
    17 August, 2001

BBC 1 came out on top in the first head-to-head battle of the country's favourite soaps, writes Jon Rogers.
According to unofficial overnights, BBC 1's EastEnders on Friday (10 August) at 20.00 attracted 8.4 million viewers, a 41.1 per cent share, beating ITV's Coronation Street with 7.3 million (35.9 per cent) by more than one million.

Earlier, the situation was reversed with ITV's hour-long episode of Emmerdale at 19.00 gaining 7.9 million (44.9 per cent) against BBC 1's EastEnders - It's Your Party at 19.00 managing 5.3 million (29.8 per cent). During peaktime, ITV maintained an audience of 6.6 million (34.7 per cent) while BBC 1 secured 5.3 million (28.3 per cent). BBC 1's latest instalment of Celebrity Sleepover with Frank Bruno at 20.30 on Thursday (9 August) struggled with 4.3 million (21.5 per cent) while ITV's Britain's Brainiest Kids at 20.30 impressed 7 million.

Tuesday (7 August) saw BBC 1's new series The Heat Is On at 20.00 survive with 4.1 million (20.5 per cent) but ITV's Carol Vorderman's Better Homes at 20.00 had 6.5 million (32.7 per cent) at 20.00 and 6.9 million (33.9 per cent) checked out Package Holiday at 20.30. BBC 2's Horizon Special on the Kursk at 21.00 on Wednesday (8 August) grounded 3.6 million (17.3 per cent) while Channel 4's Slave Nation at 21.00 captured 1 million (4.9 per cent).

These Channel 4 series are all the same, same plinky plonky background music, same repetition of whats coming up,same will they wont they achieve whatever it is they are doing, and of course in the end they always triumph. Rubbish.

That is certainly the template for them. And speaking of Channel 4 why do they feel the need to do a singing show? I'm sure Jay Hunt said a couple of years ago that she wouldn't have one on the channel.

Sod off Watchdog. You are rubbish now.

So about 19% for Watchdog, with no +1 to bump up the share. Not too shabby, decent alternative to ITV's LE.

It'll be under 100K. Probably about 1.28M, broadly in line with yesterday's 1.31M.

OK because a couple of people have quoted 1.24m incl +1 but don't know where they got that from.

Interesting. Not surprising the interactive element seduced C4, it's exactly the sort of gimmick they go for. I'd imagine itv aren't best pleased about this development.
