It's a comedy/gossip radio show where the host enjoys winding people up including forum members, no one expects it to be LBC's 4am version of newsnight.

    Comedy? It's not funny.

    Count me right out.

Along with IDS, they are a marriage made in hell.

...At least you can't accuse him of sexism. He's an uncouth bully, regardless of the gender of the politician with whom he doesn't agree.

Jim 'the uncouth bully' got out-bullied. Can't say I like either of them but it was good to hear.

It reminds me of the right wingers having a Shami Chakrabarti love-in, when she had a go at Gordon Brown.

As much as my head tells me I'm listening to utter rubbish I can't help but smile when I'm listening to him. His Cheryl Fernadez-Versini (rolls off the tongue ) analysis has made me laugh several times ...

He's referred to on his Legend FB page as Our Leader or the Master! Takes all sorts, I guess. :D

Going a bit far,me thinks .... Not sure I'd trust Steve with the big red button :D

Later this year at the Manchester Royal Exchange theatre there's an evening with Shami Chakrabarti. Yes, it's Shami, the "one woman show". Oops sorry I should probably say "one person show".

Seriously. People are going to PAY to listen to that?:confused::confused:

I'd rather have my eardrums perforated with a red hot knitting needle.

However in case you want to book (Clitheroe) it's only a tenner and you can do it in 2 hours riding on a Virgin. Treat yerself!

Does anyone remember when Jon Gaunt (odious ex-TalkSport presenter, sacked, now festering on a pay-to-listen online station, I believe) slagged Shami relentlessly, then took her offer of help to get reinstated, when he was sacked?

    I wonder if he'll have to shave. Paxman's beard wasn't popular! ;-)

She'd probably been briefed by IDS! At least you can't accuse him of sexism. He's an uncouth bully, regardless of the gender of the politician with whom he doesn't agree.

    Morning all. :)

It's nothing to do with her sex.

    She's a Conservative.

I get from the tone of that article that they are looking for something different, so it's off to Trumpers for James (living in Chiswick of course, he can easily afford to groom at Trumpers).

Do we think he's a sandalwood, coconut oil, or extract of limes man?

I really hope he gets it. I dont watch newsnight.

Now, who can we put in his LBC slot?

Gobber's caring facade fell away today, eh. Outraged that little kids who may have done badly in SATs are reminded there are other good qualities they may have and that there's no need to be too depressed about it.

His Sunday Times columns are so poor, I doubt even Jeremy Clarkson would put his name to them.

Three way with Jon Gaunt, Liddle and Richard Littlejohn.

    I'd listen.

Oh oh, Daniella Westbrook is 108. Katie Price yuk yuk yuk. It's downright offensive.

I would really enjoy seeing Brian on Newsnight - especially if he started droning on about his silly drug bust and the nasty men at his school over 30 years ago. This could be comedy gold.

I would rather listen to Katie Hopkins than the odious and disingenuous champagne socialism that Brian peddles any day of the week. Thats how bad he is.

In fact I think I would rather listen to James Max's dog, Barnaby barking for 3 hours than listen to Brian pontificating pompously on LBC.

Interesting call to Iain Dale this evening about the link between Satanism and the paedophile networks that are rapidly becoming uncovered. Just a shame the caller mentioned names or it could have opened a whimsical of worms that I doubt Mr Dale would have wanted...amazing how the discovery of Savile' s real behaviour still has to come out. What a shameful string of events over many, many years...

Not sure about the bit where it says James has a 'laconic' style? Unless they've changed the definition I don't think introspective monologues for the first 10-15 minutes and more pontificating along the way is exactly 'laconic'
