No knowledgeable person would dispute anything i have written.

I wouldn't be too sure about that, some people actually read books.

We are about as far south as you can get from Scotland, and people round here are worried and also not a little bit furious.

The recession tide is turning, order books are filling up.
My husband's small family firm (he is employed by them) has just undertaken a big expansion, they are very careful, slow and steady expansion over the years, work hard, only borrow what they can ect.

And Friday they might find there's a run on the pound and interest rates skyrocket?
    For what?
So Salmond gets his ego massaged?

I think you've hit the nail on the head there re. the general view down south.

No-one here is really that bothered whether the Scots remain part of the UK or not politically, but if a Yes vote brings short/medium term financial instability to those of us who haven't had a vote, you will not be forgiven.

Big mistake. Should have kept his mouth shut.

Murray Mount might well become Murray Molehill.

A lot of these vocal Scottish celebs seem to be "Anywhere but Scotland".

The English introduced religious hatred to Ireland as a weapon of war. Do you dispute that?

Would you also dispute my comment that independent Ireland is completely free of this religious hatred?

Vote Yes you Scots. Rid yourself of this unnecessary religious bollox. You are currently part of a country where a Catholic cannot become prime minister or Head of State.

Dump the sectarian English gobshit.es and join the wealthy free nations of the world.:)

Oh dear, yet another Irish poster who can't get over the fact that Ireland was ruled by the auk a hundred years ago...... At what point do you think you will move on? Another hundred years?

Don't recall either of you giving wee Davie Beckham any stick when he announced his support for Better Together.

Or, is it only sportsmen and/or women who don't agree with your point of view that are deserving of your criticism?

No Voters and English People better take care sadly as I can foresee attacks on them in Scotland especially if it's a no and many will be drunk to make things worse.

Two weeks ago the might of the British establishment railed against the people of Scotland. Banks, corporate business, biased broadcast and print media and the elitist Westminster parties threatened and bullied us.

The very same establishment that tanked our economy, the same Royal Bank Of Scotland WE had to bail out. They threatened to leave, take jobs and hike up prices if we even dared vote Yes. Make no mistake they are endeavouring to corrupt our democratic right to vote Yes. They are the all powerful rulers, our masters. We are their slaves, prisoners of the fear and lies they peddle.

Today September 18 2014, is unique. Today the British establishment, that warmongering imperialist machine, stands powerless holding its breath. Because today, absolute sovereign power lies in the hands of the Scottish people. We have to decide, do we keep it, or do we give it all away?

Bypass fear, corruption, doubt, anger, hesitancy, and confusion Vote with your heart today . VOTE YES.

On the other hand vote NO to stop Scotland and our people being controlled by extreme left wing socialists such as yourself.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that. The world is watching and the only people it will shame is those of Scotland.

I dunno, I spent the whole day in Edinburgh yesterday and hardly saw a Yes or a No badge at all, it was quite refreshing to be honest and the only folk talking about it were some Americans we met.

As if anyone with more than two brain cells gives a toss about Beckhams POV. Or Murray's for that matter.

I was thinking of his own personal prospects, re. advertising contracts etc. He's only just redeemed himself in the eyes of many of those down south after his 'anyone but England' remark. I would imagine his agent and PR company will be furious.

He won't be able to write off this gaffe as a 'joke' like the last one.

Lost the will to discuss now.
    What will be will be.
No = Move forward together with a more federal Britain
Yes = Move forward without Scotland with a more federal Britain.

He will be well aware of the potentially career-threatening backlash, yet still expressed his view, when he didnt have to and nobody really expected him to. Went right up in my estimation

We could do without more scaremonging, as that's not very likely to happen.

So Scotland needs to destroy itself from within as a kind of protest ?

Ricky Ross and Elaine C Smith seem to be the only "Yes" supporting celebs that actually live there!
