Man United v Everton - Peter Drury & Jim Beglin Spurs v Southampton - Tony Jones & Tony Gale Chelsea v Arsenal - Jon Champion & Danny Mills West Ham v QPR - Ian Darke & David Pleat
Jake Humphreys is with Paul Scholes, Steve Macnanaman and Michael Owen for Man Utd v Everton on BT Sport 1 although as in previous weeks Owen left half way through the build up to get to the gantry.
thanks will this be a first in england a club channel has broadcast a Womens Champions League match??..
I can't ever remember Arsenal TV showing Live games, but Birmingham City when they were in the Champions League 2 seasons ago they live streamed their games via their youtube channel.
For goodness sake, guys, the mistakes you are gleefully pointing out are very minor in the context of live broadcasting. have any of you ever made slips of the tongue? Good grief!
Sorry to bring this up again but I'm not the kind of person who would normally complain about commentators making piffling mistakes, like mis-identifying players, but Parry's suggestion Villa had conceded three goals in the opening four minutes against Arsenal wasn't just "a slip of the tongue", it was just wrong. It wasn't as if he meant to say something else either because he specifically mentioned it about eight minutes in, in the context of Villa having made a decent start, "as opposed to" that Arsenal game where "by this point" they were 3-0 down. Which they weren't.
I like Parry, he has a nice turn of phrase and plenty of enthusiasm (and I recite his "kick-off is just.... moments away!" with him like I do Tyler's "and it's live!"), but it is a fact that was clearly wrong and would have totally baffled the audience. It's like Michael Fish and the hurricane, it didn't matter that he didn't say there was going to be a hurricane, it was that he specifically went out of his way to say there wasn't.
Darren Fletcher putting everything into this game!!
Slow down Darren!!:D:D
Fletcher was eager to point out that Bryan Oveido broke his leg "in front of the BT Sport cameras", in fact he said it twice in quick succession. Almost as if they were proud to have shown it.
Darren Fletcher is ok as a TV commentator but nothing against him there are still better out there who could of teamed up with Darke.
He is still in radio mode for me at times but I suppose if BT end up with more high profile games in the future then he can only get better as BT seem more than keen to use him on decent games they have now.
...and Wilkins, who seems to be out of favour and a very rare contributor on Sky these days.
Wilkins is out managing Jordan (not her) with Frank Stapleton (himself a former Sky co-comm) so his media commitments in the UK aware non-existent right now. I think he is due to return to the country soon and will no doubt pop up on Talksport and Sky as before. Longer term I can see him being used on BTs Champions League coverage though.

Shown in view on hand over, I really like that and BT seem to be adopting it more and more.
What about Oxford City?

You'd think that Chelsea v Arsenal would be worthy of having an hour's build-up.
It doesn't kick off until 2:05pm.

Ah, right - I thought it was just a normal 1.30 kick off.
Quite pleased by that as it gives me time to do my shopping beforehand.

Does that mean that the kick off of the West Ham v QPR game will be similarly delayed to avoid a clash?
Sky must be cursing their luck that this should happen on one of the few occasions that the Super Sunday games are so close together

West Ham Vs QPR pushed back 20 minutes now.
Joe Speight and Efan Ekoku
No it's been pushed back 5 minutes. The original kick off time was 4:15pm.
My mistake. Thought it was 4:00pm originally.
