Are you one of those people who let people in when other cars are behind you?

It really pisses me off when people do this. Let people in on your own time if you want but not mine.
On whose authority do you feel you have the right to make me wait just to make you feel better "good" about yourself. I would make it an official traffic offense the same as parking on double yellow lines.

Get over it.
But if the traffic is queuing (e.g. up to a roundabout/junction) then I pretty much always let the person in. If no one did, they could be sat there for ages! It's only polite and it really pisses me off when no one will let me in.
I live on a country lane and to get out of it onto the main road is murder.
No one apart from the occasional one will let you in, so I know what it is like sitting there waiting for some kind driver to let you in.
So if I see anyone waiting to get into the main stream of traffic I always let them in.
Sorry rufusrain if it makes you cross.
You do do an awful lot of moaning rufusrain, is it a hobby of yours.
I refuse on principle for the ones who sneak along the empty lane and try to sidle in at the last minute.
Why does what you want trump everybody else?
Miserable buggers getting wound up about this, need to be legislated against.
I also let people cross the road at crossings, and even when there isn't one!
That and it's about the best way to help keep traffic flowing in a lot of situations, as if you don't let people in from the side roads (especially in slow moving traffic etc), it can easily end up with queues rapidly building up and making things worse.
I get more pissed off with the idiots that don't let you in, or decide to block you so you can't get out...all because they are a little impatient and to self absorbed in their own little bubble.
I've accidently blocked people a few times and have had to sit there holding my head in shame and willing the lights to change quickly!
Lol. Well exactly. I live in London, and there are always cars behind me. Because I like to live within the bounds of human decency, I let drivers out of drives, junctions or parking places, allow, within reason, people to cross the road, as long as there is not a pelican crossing 10 yards away, allow children to retrieve their balls and allow plenty of time for pigeons to get out from the danger zone. Sometimes it gets a little tedious, but someone like the OP in the car behind would brighten the process up considerably.
You do just sit there and shake your head in a curt refusal, don't you?
What would be the point of letting someone in if there's nobody behind you You could simply carry on and they could pull out after you pass.
