Comment:- ANIMAL 999 returns on Tuesday with River Monsters on ITV. STV misses out on 2 films late/through the night this week - Carry On Cleo (Tue) & Scooby Doo 2 (Fri) - albeit the latter is bizarrely scheduled at 3.00am.
OPT OUTS still not been shown on STV :-
RIVER MONSTERS (current), COUNTRYWISE (Nov/Dec 2014), SECRETS FROM THE SKY (Nov 2014) , HOTEL IN THE CLOUDS (1 off, Nov 2014).
Come on, I cant see how were missing out over those two films and whats the deal with Scooby doo 2 during night, is uncut version?
Matter of opinion I guess but Carry On Cleo is regarded by many critics as one of the best Carry On Films made, so shown for the 10987th time but hardly a clanger! And also in keeping with the (I surmise) predominantly male orientated audience at that time of night (airs from 11.40pm). As for Scooby Doo 2 comments made on the basis it was yet another film STV not showing/behind showing but to be fair it is one of the bizarrest scheduling examples from ITV I have seen in a long time - maybe Scooby does a poo at the poolside or Velma says a sweary word somewhere
All in all though STV's alternative is the amateurish/pathetic Nightshift, most certainly worse than those 2 film offerings!

I would rather have either films on or programmes that aired earlier on ITV (be from 8pm or still not aired on) after Scotland Tonight - I see STV repeated Trevor McDonalds Mississippi (repeat from 2012!) - hmm cheap night filler springs to mind! Is that what STV is at night time these days is basically cheap, I would rather STV made more of an effort to compete with ITV but knowing STV they are falling the same way as ITV these days cheap filler programming with no real effort/budget and hope for the best

What is viewing firgues for that time slot? ITV/STV have tried in the past with different show. Apart from the High end Curent affairs programmes nothing else seems to work.

But to chore out either repeats of Jezza or our equivalent at the weekend is a joke really - why do they not just save the trouble just close down then if they can be that bothered? You may as well ask what are the viewing figures on channels that carry programming at that time of night ie Pick/Sky Living (just naming a couple but you get the point) but the way ITV/STV/Channel 5 "give up" at night is pretty grim (bad enough "teleshopping" filling in the gaps on channels)

I see STV are repeating "in search of Robert Burns" from 2013 (shock horror) - anything new in that department? I guess next year we will have that very same repeat on again, I know its Scottish tradition and all that but can we actually get something new to celebrate him or is STV that cheap that it can't be assed making anything new and has to stick to repeating? Surprised Beyond Explanation hasn't been thrown on
"in search of Robert Burns" that was a pile of gash, and when you saw the face of Mr burns at the end, well I and my mother could not stop laughing.
I never watched it being honest but I do remember plugging it alot as if it was some sort of "mystery" -- STV are in a way try to create "the bionic woman" we have the budget but we can't be assed :D
TUE. 3RD:-
STV - SCOTLAND TONIGHT, RIVER MONSTERS (rpt) - then as Monday, ITV - Film: Carry On Jack/Gambling/Loose Women/Jeremy Kyle.
WED. 4TH:-
STV & ITV - As Monday.
THUR. 5TH:-
STV - As Thur. 29th, ITV - Ade At Sea - then as Thur. 29th.
FRI. 6TH:-
STV - As Fri. 30th, ITV - As Sat. 31st.
Comment:- STV fail to show another Carry On Film, namely Carry On Jack (Tue).

RIVER MONSTERS (Jan 2015), COUNTRYWISE (Nov/Dec 2014), SECRETS FROM THE SKY (Nov 2014) , HOTEL IN THE CLOUDS (1 off, Nov 2014).
Possibly the Carry On films are not suitable for Scotland (STV) as it contains no kilts, no haggis and no mention of Burns, Wallace or Salmond but expect fly on the wall shows with "celebity" guests (coughs coughs)

LOL indeed! Although they might show Carry On Up The Khyber because (if I remember correctly) that DOES contain kilts!
STV doesn't show the Carry On Film (Tue night) nor the new series Barging Round Britain. For the latter it once again opts for the cheap Moviejuice (yawn)
OPT OUTS still not been shown on STV :-
BARGING ROUND BRITAIN (Feb 2015), RIVER MONSTERS (Jan/Feb 2015), COUNTRYWISE (Nov/Dec 2014), SECRETS FROM THE SKY (Nov 2014) , HOTEL IN THE CLOUDS (1 off, Nov 2014 & ITV3 Feb 2015).
Yes it looks like they quietly "hope" that ITV3 will air their "no shows" at some point.
Weird how its ITV is at least showing the programme on one of their own channels yet STV can't make an attempt to even show it before the repeat on ITV3, kinda reminds me of when The Bill was dropped and again ITV3 was the only channel available to anyone without ITV to catchup on any missed shows, the thing is this programme was a "one off" documentary not a full length series - so this time they drop a one episode special? Bit odd for that lot at STV thats for sure!
Oh I also spotted Drama Channel has aired over past couple Saturdays "Missing" with Gregor Fisher - So what is the real point of these STV "local" channels again?

Pointless really wishing on STV to show the missing programmes - I can see the bosses there are hoping that any opt outs not shown will be exactly shown on ..... ITV3 (rolls eyes)

Ah yes I forgot about that! Utter disgrace STV not showing it when it starred a popular Scottish actor! >:(

They have already racked up around 6 "no shows" (as per that list) since the end of last year - quite a feat for these amateurs.

So STV have never aired that show - but are now showing it on their "local" channels ie STV Glasgow/Edinburgh
Give Drama channel a bit of credit at least they air some of the Scottish shows for STV ie Taggart (no Rebus yet but on Alibi), yet this lot sit on their ass and do hardly worthy programming for ITV let alone selling it to the rest of UK/worldwide - how are STV still floating?
as for the "no shows" you may as well hold up a white flag and "hope" ITV repeat the shows on ITV3 (best bet) than STV, but its getting a bit tedious with this lot - where is the investment for STV going? Or stupid question?

Every so often they make some grand announcement in the media along the lines of "our continuing commitment to producing and delivering a quality portfolio of programmes blah....blah" when revealing such original and groundbreaking programing as..... Catchphrase remake, or Poodles Do Poos (delightful cuddly animal series) or Meechelle's (Sauchiehall Street) Road Trip, or Scotland's Greatest Swally Joints... >:(
Good god someone is over reacting - and what "hatred" are you speaking of? I guess sensible discussion has gone out of the window I take it then (rolls eyes)
If you cared to look I mentioned that the Drama channel had recently repeated it UK wide compared to the STV "locals"
Hatred is pretty much a strong word to use anyway - if you remember this is a general discussion on STV. I don't hate STV but I wish the channel would buck up its ideas than produce utter garbage for Scotland and actually got its fingers out its backside and produced half decent dramas/programming not only for Scotland but for ITV and other UK networks/worldwide, but I forget the channel only cares more about making profits and its shareholders than the viewer itself (deary me ... what a society we now live in)

Years ago they would have been read a bedtime story or given a wee hug to help them turn over again - changed days indeed
