Daniel Kamikaze says his backing singers are "big Eurovision superstars". So does that mean a return of Kaliopi and Esma or are they off the Swedish backing singer conveyor belt?

Stumbled across an FB page that is championing Lebanon 's possible participation into ESC. They had one or two artists songs on the page. Not bad. Will find the page link later.
Had forgitten thay had taken part before,:o if they wish to come back they need to get over themselves re the ISRAELI ENTRIES if they are serious about it

I was sobbing into my ice cream when PKN won it for Finland, particularly over the likes of Satin Circus, Opera Skaala and Solju.
In defence of 'Aina Mun Pitta' it is brilliant for stress release and perfect for when I'm in one of my 'I hate the world' moods. :kitty:
Sobbing into ice cream doesn't quite cut it for me But then all you old members here already know that
But that's a good point about stress release and hating the world mood, although my song for those is "In Your Face" by Children of Bodom - brilliant lyrics there! (And a brilliant melody too, underneath the noise...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACuk9GgL0uI

They only got as far as selecting their song, they pulled out at the last minute when the EBU insisted they show the Israeli entry in full and not cut to the commercials as they usually do. Apparently Lebanon don't recognise Israel diplomatically so unless that has changed, I can't see them debuting any time soon unless Israel pull out.
Shame really as the song they selected was actually very nice and sung in French, so would have picked a few votes from the Francophone countries.

Ha! I don't think Children of Bodom is going to be up Foxy's street! But Finnish music is awesome, and I will just add a couple of my favourites to frighten the children here:

You have "End of an Era", wow!
I could add anything by Nightwish really, not to frighten anyone but just for sheer quality music, they have everything from heart-rending ballads to classical anthems...
Is Molly Sterling going to be a late addition to the London Preview party? It's a disgrace if she's not after last years no show at any preview parties. Ryanair flights are still cheap these days
Molly is gigging around Dublin with Greg French at the moment, presumably to get some much needed experience / practise in.
Not sure why she has given London a miss though, it would have been a short hop across the Irish Sea. Not that there's any risk of her doing a Kasey Smith and folding under pressure on the big night : everyone who has seen her live says she is a really confident and self assured performer and musician, despite her young age and and inexperience.

I'm not denying her ability. I just find it odd that nearly every country has showed up at one of the preview events and we haven't. It's a great experience to meet the artist, fans and press. Let's face it it does very little for actual votes on the night.
I'm sure Molly is very self-assured... You only have to read her website. She is obviously perfect. Kidding, of course. Yeah, I think we accuse the BBC of giving up too much when I'm actual fact they've done a lot more, promotion wise this year than in past years and compared to other broadcasters...

Agree completely, that's two years running Ireland have completely missed the preview circuit (and the preview video was produced by Greg French himself, not by RTE). If Molly does well, she'll have to do it in spite of RTE, not because of them. Their lack of promo last year for Kasey Smith last year was a disgrace and may have played some part in the non qualification, as they turned up looking under rehearsed and ill prepared.
Molly at least seems to be better prepared, Greg appears to be an excellent mentor / adviser to her.

Does the song need it?

Not even they can save it.

But Tijana could
We are sorely lacking in drunk dancing and tit jiggling. :D

Whoever said that Greece won't even qualify this year has to think again about it!
She just blew my mind!
PS: Why does Nadav Guedj keeps missing the line '' Take me out... '' in his live performances?
Clearly Albania's points were her influence.

Her pronunciation is slightly better, but she's still farting tears.
It's a grower... I like it a lot more than when when she won the NF.
And she had a similar guest part on Casualty ten years ago, believe it or not
Casual viewers will only hear songs Ion the night and proper fans will know all the songs anyway and have favourites regardless?!
Anggun...poor grafter...;-)
To the votes, I would say absolutely not. Conchita is the only ESC winner ever to perform in Amsterdam beforehand for example.
I suppose it's good practise though for inexperienced singers not used to performing in front of an audience.
