It'll definitely please the judges. But I won't be surprised to hear condescending critical remarks from the other teams because it's quite a simple menu - this round is going to be all strategy, sadly.

I'd forgotten how much I irrationally dislike Kat. And without Will there's no light relief.
It will be strategic, they're all trying to claw their way up the ladder.

That cheesecake is overdone I reckon, it looks solid

"The lettuce looks store bought?" No, who'd'a thunk it. The complaints about the food are going to be ridiculous this round. I didn't want Will and Steve to fail but they are going to be missed.

    ETA ^^^^^ :D:D

Being old and forgetful I'd really like to be reminded visually of what each team had cooked in the first round, so I could compare the two. Pete and Manu sometimes mention what was served but I'd like to see it quickly.

ETA: no sauce for the main? :o

From memory, didn't they do some sort of Madras curry dumplings for Entree and then fish En papillote that Lloyd butchered by cutting the tail off. I don't remember dessert.

Well, they've bought that dish to the table. Pete at least was impressed.

    Oh yes, the fish.

They did well and the lack of sauce didn't matter - the gremolata (yum) obviously did its job. I'm not finding Annie as annoying this time and Lloyd is quite sweet. I'd rather they got through than the 'we're so pretty and such good cooks in spite of all the evidence and did you know I'm a model' crew.

You spoil us - don't spoiler yourself (see what I did there?) :p

See you tomorrow. I'm off to Bake Off. But not the forum. They're not kind there...

hahahaaa Yes I saw. I'll be careful. I'm off to Bake Off too but delayed as we watch as we eat. It's the only cooking programme my Husband will watch and he can't stand Mel & Sue. Odd chap...

Catching up on tonight's episode and the constant running commentary........ "I'm just doing this now honey".... " Now I'm just going to do that"...... is really beginning to get on my nerves, especially when said in Annie's voice.

They all seem even more unpleasant this time around.

I didn't get that - everything on the plate, was store bought....mostly from a certain Aussie supermarket....that never gets mentioned enough.

Annie&Lloyd did much better last night - 59 should see them into the next round....whatever that is going to be.

    Yes, Kat&Andre must go...followed by Katie&Nikki.

Really? She kept that one quiet. So modest.

I do get frustrated by some of these teams and the shopping, let alone the cooking. You make a list, you double check what you're buying and you cross it off the list. even if you're not normally organised, this isn't a normal shopping trip.

So presumably they'll either have to serve up undercooked shanks or serve it late. Kat and the two self proclaimed pretty girls will jump on either option like a duck on a beetle.

Well of course! Nothing to do with a camera crew *rolleyes*

Sorry girls but the main is going to be late. You can't make three hours go any quicker.

I don't find them that special, I have to say. They're attractive, but in a very generic, standard way, in my opinion. I think Sheri and Emilie are much prettier, facially.

That three hours went quickly! With no clips of everyone complaining.

ETA: Well then you don't have a pie, do you, because at best you've made rough puff not puff.

That's not how you make puff pastry! Rough puff would have been better if she was trying to save time.

I think most of the ladies around the table are better looking than the pretty girls. Especially when Nikki has her resting bitch face on.

I think if I hadn't heard them speak I might agree that Nikki is pretty in a Barbie kind of way (known to us Sims players as Face 1!) but a bad attitude always trumps pretty or handsome for me.

I was going to say that they're making such a big thing of the pastry that it obviously works but too late!

Eva & Debra can stay on the Christmas card list. I know they were in the same group as S & E but they are not being hyper critical of every mouthfull.
