Because its the truth, sandwiches of kids from council estates are 99% white, kids in private schools eat far more nutritious breads, I think the government should explore this....white bread is actually quite bad for you to boot.

after working in Germany for 3 years i soon got used to the superb breads the locals bake and eat over there, I got especially fond of the rye bread they sold in the markets and sandwiches in pubs shops etc, coming back i notice most people eat tasteless bleached bland white bread, why is this?

I suffer with IBS so can't have too much fibre in my diet as it leaves me in a lot of pain so my choice is white bread, no bread or agony. This is why I eat white bread, I wish shops would understand that wholemeal isn't the healthiest option for everyone. I dread when out with family/friends and they suggest grabbing a sandwich for lunch, as I know my only option will be a cheese sandwich. I look longingly at all the different fillings wishing just for once one of them will be in white bread. Waitrose seems to be the worst they don't seem to do any sandwiches with white bread.
I'm not going to lie I don't like brown bread at all. I've tried to make myself like it but it's just not the same as having a bacon and fried egg buttie with brown bread. It's also the same with ham sandwiched and toasties...white bread just tastes so much better.

I mostly have wholemeal/brown bread but I still like the occasional loaf of white bread because it really does make superb toast.
What does Kingsmill 50/50 do?
