So why do you moan about not being able to find girlfriends when you have no problems at all?

Well I'm not looking for just anyone. If that were the case, I would have stuck with the clingy one.

Possibly one of the most puerile and dismal posts I've seen on D.S. to date.

Maybe he fancies Hank Williams as well.

I'd maybe turn for Hank Williams III, but I somehow doubt he'd be up for it.

It's just a joke. It doubles the amount of people the OP could date, that's all. I don't see how it paints gay men in a negative light or is homophobic.

It also doubles the amount of people who will turn him down. Maybe he doesn't like the idea of men refusing him as well as women. ;)

Forgive me, but you sound incredibly unlikable. You can look hot, get gf's, but you will never WANT to keep one because you are simply a judgmental, arrogant so and so. And I say that because I care. People have wasted time on this thread, and you continue to show yourself up to be more and more objectionable, to many of the women here, and I'll now include myself in that category.

I met someone like you once....I told him where to shove it. Good luck. :D

Okay, that's your opinion, but you don't even know me so you sound like the judgemental one.

    Cooooooeeeeee!

    *waves politely*

Now, when I say I don't drink, most people look at me like I've said "I enjoy sacrificing goats in my living room". I can understand why people drink to fit in.

There's nothing wrong with being teetotal. Ironically unlike my socialising friends and acquantancies, I never have to announce "bored.com" on a social network.

I must have imagined the latest campaigns to get sexual imagery and content off the mainstream forms of content delivery such as newspapers, magazines and the Internet. If anything, outside of pubs, nightclubs and specialist outlets which are illegal (dogging) or soon to be banished behind a net filter (specific online dating), the British are becoming more prudish and conservative.

Go along to your local arts centre / evening class / bookclub / am-dram etc.

You're bound to find a girl who isn't a skank.

Two things to note: a) she's not going to be there to find a man, but rather to do something she wants to do for herself; and b) she may have a partner.

I once knew a lady, of fairly advanced years (there, tenuous link to thread title in, puerility coming up), who a bit short on readies one week offered her coal delivery man 'a hole for the coal'.

Two things to note: a) since when does it matter what people are doing? I met my o/h at a rugby match, neither of us were there to find a man. And there's nothing wrong with putting yourself out there, and in a context in which you hope to attract the most suitable person.
    b) she may not have a partner.

People do all sorts of things to bring about a social connection, be that friends or something more intimate.

I did see a nice girl the other day, she was wearing a jumper with a polar bear on it, how could she not be nice?

But she was with her boyfriend.

That's the problem really, the nice ones are snapped up and you're left with the orange-skinned ones with scouse-brows and duck-face selfie pictures on Facebook.

People do all sorts of things to bring about a social connection, be that friends or something more intimate.
But in general, people don't go out to such events as stated above with that intention. Going to a social event or club with the pure intention of meeting someone would show desperation and do the OP or anyone else no favours.

And from personal experience, the vast majority of people I know are in long term relationships. Those who are single are long term single and have no intention of finding a partner.

For everything I do in life, I do so without the intention of finding a partner (beside the dating website thing a few years ago which I knocked on the head), and blatantly so for a number of things I do! You don't see many women interested in the interests I pursue but I do so out of my own enjoyment and pleasure.
