I now want to tell you about two things that have happened in my life and yes they are true.
When I was at school in year 9 on a friday afternoon, a kid in my IT class thought he was going to die on that weekend. He was seeing a girl and he was sure her ex was going to do him in. I told him he had nothing to worry about.........it turns out I was wrong he did die but in a different set of circumstances. (still makes me uneasy to this day).
The second case is equally screwed up, but it's more to do with my dad. We were selling one of my old bikes and a school friend along with his father came to look at it. To cut a long story short the father had murdered his wife. My dad answered the front door a week later and the murdered womans twin sister was at our front door (no one knew their was a twin by the way) to find out if the bike was still for sale, my mum said she had never seen my dad so lost for words.
pretty mad eh?
Yes indeed, pretty mad. Especially the one about the friend who died. Although, you know, it may have been pure coincidence, especially as you say he didnt die in the way that he predicted. But still, I can see why it made you uneasy. Not only the circumstances, but of course you had also lost a friend, with which I sympathise, having lost a very good friend of mine totally unexpectedly recently. These things are never easy even under perfectly "normal" circumstances.
The is an interesting article in this months Empire magazine exploring the theory that the famous Hollywood Actor/Director Orson Welles was the murderer in The Black Dahlia case.

Oooh. So I take it the missing woman is linked into the blind item from the first link?
Never heard this one before. Intriguing. Wouldn't surprise me either as in my tine I've been an avid reader of bio's from Hollywood pre/post war and all sorts of shenanigans went on but kept quiet by the studio system who were all powerful back in the day.

To be honest, I didn't post them as being connected, but you could be right.
During the coverage of 9/11, i remember, as do other people I know, hearing about car explostions in Washington. But we never heard about them again.
.
Hardly baffling! The media reported explosions because of the plethora of information out there. People got confused, reported cars backfiring as potential attacks and news got muddled. Its not that unusual in breaking news events. Anyone remeber Harold Pinter "dying" on Sky News!
The chupacabra...a recent monster in the USA and mexico. Not much has been heard in teh apst 2 years of this animal.
They thought they had found one but it turned out to be a coyote with a bad skin disease. Not heard anything about chupacabras for a while, I dont really think they are real.
Excellent thread, I found the Gable Film footage fascinating, it really does originally look like a gorilla then you can clearly see a tail as it bounds towards the camera.
Some really interesting links posted so thanks for the opportunity to learn about them.
Spent quite a bit of time looking at the Gable film last night; my first reaction was a gorilla but read all the theories about a dog and bear so now not really sure. Given the location the likely explanation is bear hunting.
The second Gable film seems to have been taken at the same place and approximate time and to me this rules out the possibility that the first film was just some innocent film of somebody playing with their dog; because hoax/fiction or not the two films are linked.
It does seem in the first film though that there are actually two dogs one the skinny Alsation and the other a bulkier black one.
How could the universe have evolved from something the size of a pinhead?
What created that something, and how long was it there before it went pop?
Are there more of them?
In what do they themselves exist?
Yes exactly and on the other end of the scale what on earth are we made of? You look at a rock and see a rock. But zoom right into the ultimate sub atomic level (which you can't actually do) it all gets a bit murky and we don't really know what's going on. And of course most of it is empty space. Tricky!
D.B Cooper - who was he, and did he survive the jump?
What happened to Susy Lamplugh?
What happened to Richie Edwards?
D.B Cooper is an intersting one for me too. From what I've read even if he did survive the jump they think his shoes would have come off in the air, because he had flimsy ones on or something. Also, I think Mount St. Helens erupted that way on too, making any investigations after that more difficult.

How long? There was no time. Space & Time were created in the Big Bang.

I will have a read of your links a bit later.
I have no idea how any of it works to be honest.
I DO know that I don't believe we were created by God. Others of course have differing opinions.
As to other universes - who's to say.
Lots of people believe there are parallel universes. I wonder if there are?
I can't see anything to suggest that this is anything more than an elaborate hoax. Does anyone think there's any truth to Jon Titor's claims?
Another couple from Hollywood.

 Blimey, I just assumed they were connected!

It was all utter garbage. The link itself debunks them!

Titor case?

Found a great forum where they discuss the case.

My own favourite mystery; posted about this one before wondered about it for many years.
