Hello. Finally finished work and we have visitors so won't be around much for all this. I'm here in spirit anyway. Will try to have a catch up at some point.

LOL this is a hilarious read! :D Thanks for the link.

I think it might have been a bloke actually, IIRC?

    All the rest.....QFT

I couldn't resist reading the thread from when we met Johnny, it's so funny and touching, so much joy, yet also so strange to read as it's sad that we thought things would be on the up and they'd get more screentime. :p..........:o

But still a wonderful read of an incredible moment. The moment news leaks of Marc being there starts on page 19 - link here.....http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1610908&page=19

I am going to read a bit of that too, and then I'll be back for NHB interview at - so excited for this! :D

    oops, sorry was it a bloke...still funny:D
How do we know this? Has there been a mention? EE and I had a falling out about a year ago... we haven't spoken in a while. :D

Oh, I remember that. I was crushed. :o It worked out all right, I guess, though, on that front. Syed putting his wedding ring back on is still my number-one most loathed moment, though. The exit storyline was typical EE guff, but that was just unbelievably bad and pointless.

Yeah, like, the reveal was exceptionally bad and I was shocked because Preeya had never been anywhere near that level of bad before and I was anticipating a good performance. But when she came back, that sort of level of acting was typical, though nothing quite reached the levels of the RB eps. Tbf, I wouldn't be putting my heart and soul into the sort of crap she had to act out either. :o

no. no mention of this on the thread...just one of my little stories I shared with Zoet:D

edit: what I meant was no mention of watching strictly on EE, but chryed were mentioned

Yep, there was a Chryed mention on EE this week. Monday I think. Mas telling Carol he was going to Birmingham to help Syed look after Yasmin, because Christian was off to do a job in Gran Canaria for a few weeks, and Amira wasn't around or sth...
Unsurprisingly, it was a Pete Lawson ep.
Bless Pete for giving us these little titbits of background info on our boys :D

Yep, they got mentioned in Monday's ep, which suprisingly was written by Pete! They're in Brum, Mas was going to help Syed look after Yasmin because Christian had got some work in Gran Canaria. :)

Oh, i will never understand the logic of Syed putting his ring back on. It seemed a totally pointless and out of character event. I think it just reflected the times under BK really - no continuity and no real care for characters.

    Ah, cheers.

So they weren't together on their anniversary? Gutting.

I actually watched the wedding last week for the first time since the 'twist' spoilers broke last year. It's so, SO good, despite everything. Syed is so clearly lying, though, I don't know how I didn't see it. Totally not glowing with happiness without a hint of guilt or shame.

sidenote: the day before when he's with Danny, he tells Christian he was with Tanya. Tanya is stood across the room, which Christian points out. The guy who can't glance around a room before saying who he was with managed to go through with his wedding on a lie without a hint of it. *facepalm*

......is that what he actually looks like?! I just... oh my God. That storyline was such a farce. 'Is it hot in here?' 'It is now.' *chokes* Oh my God.

    At least Danny was fit.

edit: I came third in that quiz. THIRD. What is the actual point. It's like 'yes, I'm a massive loser, but not quite good enough to win or come runner-up'. Worst position ever.

Thanks so much for all the awesome links, including Jenn, Starfish, Mads, Zoetje.

I can appreciate why some can't watch the NYD episodes but I must admit that I love them. I love the drama, the angst, the heartbreak. The writing, acting, direction, was all so brilliant, I love seeing it again. Chryed alone in the café, Zainab learning the truth, Syed desperate for his mother's love, Christian not being able to make himself stop the wedding and then kissing Syed and letting him go, it's soap opera, or tv drama in general, at its very best.

    Very true Mudsie!
I saved this for obvious reasons. Note the date. Let's all blame elphie. She tempted fate.

    I can't imagine why I saved this...

For all the crappy, ill-informed, poorly-researched, occasionally downright insulting articles we had to deal with over the years, here's a palette cleanser

    The best thing ever.

Thanks for all the links mt! :D.

Pete, bless him, had this pointed out to him on twitter, and said, 'blimey is it that time already? #writerfail' so it wasn't intentional. He is just too lovely and funny for words. :D

There have been regular mentions on and off, and they seem to be happy.

If no-one asked NHB about wtf 'this is bad' 'so why does it feel so good?' is about, you should all be ASHAMED. Especially because the rest of the episode was actually pretty decent, it just dove off a cliff quality-wise once Danny got involved. Almost like it was painfully OOC for Syed or something. Weird....

Seriously, though, thank you all so much for all your hard work. Going to watch in a bit. :)

    edit: thanks Zoetjetoch and star.

Lol '#writerfail'. Yeah... don't know how you could possibly forget the date of a wedding for two characters who left nearly a year ago, when you write several episodes a year for dozens of characters. He should be ashamed.

I could see in the bit when they are talking before the wedding that Syed is almost wanting to tell Christian something, that he pauses for a moment.......he wanted to talk but could not get it out......

The wedding was beautiful and Syed meant every second of his vows..his love for Christian, the anxiety is gone, the nerves......the twist was a punch in the gut, it did not match up with his obvious joy at his marriage to Christian........but I was able to put it behind me, because it happened before the wedding and Syed meant his vows....I am good at ignoring the crap bits I don't like, EE gave me lots of practice at that:sleep:
