Well, back in *coughApril2012cough* I posted a 100 Question Chryed Quiz for everyone...with some help from lots of you for epic questions, thank you!
A big thank you to so many of you for taking part!
I may or may not have got slightly distracted and never got around to posting the results  *whistles guiltily* , I'm sorry......so, Here they are!!
-Firstly, if you weren't here at the time, and fancy testing your Chryed knowledge....here's the link to the quiz questions.
-Or, have a try at it again maybe, to see how much you remember, 18 months later?! You could test yourself against your old score, below?
(/I know when I complied the results -eventually, I'd forgotten the answers to questions, and it was my d*mn quiz, ha! ).
So, on to the results!
(nb. all names are listed as you entered them, or chose to leave it blank. All scores collated from parts 1-10, or where parts were missing, these are shown).
Now, as 2012 was an Olympic year, lets have the top three results in Medal-winning positions....there are some seriously impressive scores out of 100 here!
Gold, Silver and Bronze - the top 3...Congratulations!
Gold: kqv, 97
Silver: Elphie, 93
Bronze: mt, 92
The Top 50 results -amazing scores!, and thank you all so much for taking part back then. Scores out of 100:
Top 30 Results, counting parts 1-9 only, so scores out of 90:
I know quite a few people were unable to submit part 10 (apologies, *shakes fist* at the software), so, for completeness, here are the Top 30 scores, when including parts 1-9 only (with part 10 discounted for everyone), to see any changes in results!..:
I almost don't want to interrupt the hilarity, but a schedule is a schedule.
HERE is the first part of our interview with Nick Hicks-Beach.
Camera by yours truly, questioning my MercuryPheonix and editing by Dessie.
Enjoy.
Alex Just finished, thank all of you for this! Great quality! I really look forward to the next parts, too...will ignore the fact that those links are showing, tempting me....I will wait according to our CCC schedule, because I am good at waiting!

I didn't realise they were!
DON'T LOOK ANYONE - STICK TO THE SCHEDULE DAMMIT!

DON'T LOOK ANYONE - STICK TO THE SCHEDULE DAMMIT!
Of course we will stick to the schedule...this is such a treat to have this CCC and I really appreciate all the time and planning that made this happen. It's great to share things at the same time!
Wow! I'd forgotten all about this! But I'll take 16th place.
Although I am very tempted to go back and do it again - see if I score better or worse!
Thanks Meg.
I could see in the bit when they are talking before the wedding that Syed is almost wanting to tell Christian something, that he pauses for a moment.......he wanted to talk but could not get it out......
The wedding was beautiful and Syed meant every second of his vows..his love for Christian, the anxiety is gone, the nerves......the twist was a punch in the gut, it did not match up with his obvious joy at his marriage to Christian........but I was able to put it behind me, because it happened before the wedding and Syed meant his vows....I am good at ignoring the crap bits I don't like, EE gave me lots of practice at that:sleep:
Evening all. Am sort of here! Just closing my eyes and squinting over some of the posts, because there are people on this thread talking like 2012 happened, and we all know that's wrong.
Absolutely. The initial storyline was like an intricate painting, taken with care and sensitivity. Yeah, sometimes their hands slipped and there were blots, but the overall piece was still pretty damn good even though it wasn't perfect.
Once BK took over, it was more like someone swinging a paint can about. Sometimes, they got lucky and the paint stuck to the canvas and it looked pretty good, but the overall painting was still a mess.
STEEEEEEEPPPPHHHH! :D:D Loved the gifs and the memories made me laugh so hard, but this is my favourite post of the last few pages...

Hi Dessie!

Fantastic interview, he said so many of the things we've done, about soaps going 4 times a week, and the pressure of ratings, etc. What an articulate man. I love that he likes to write for the non-Alpha males. Cannot wait (but I will) for the rest of it - so excited for the Chryed bits.

Ha ha, you are me! I am over it now, totally - I think. And yes I'm good at that too. He really did mean his vows, even more so, he probably blanked out what he'd done, had to make it so that it didn't exist in his mind.
I see it as him being full of joy and thinking it would never come out. Also, he'd clearly been absolutely heartbroken and upset on the stag night, so knowing that (in retrospect) also made it ok. Still a cruel twist though.
Think I'd better shift my thoughts to the gutter for this evening.
Syed is watching Strictly now, and Christian can get it on a channel in Gran Canaria. They are on skype and are comparing dances and chatting, and saying how much they miss each other.

Oops, sorry! I've privatised the other 3 - let me know exactly when you're going to post them and I'll make them public again?
Found the interview really interesting, sets the scene well for the Chryed answers to follow
Ha, just been uncovering more piper related posts. Think this one has got to be an all time favourite.
DESSIEEEEEEE! Really glad you made it.
Will message you when it's time to release the balls! (ie un-private the clips)
I don't know what Sherlock!Syed has to do with anything, but it made me laugh.
I think it's so great how many EastEnders writers take thier time to allow fans to conduct interviews with them.
How many have let us Chryedians interview them now?
On camera, Richard Davidson and Nick Hicks-Beach. By email, Pete Lawson and Daisy Coulam. In person (so not so much of an interview, as us squealing and fangirling) DTC, Diederich Santer, Pete Lawson, Johnny and Marc.

I still can't quite believe it.
This is just amazing...if anyone had told us a few years ago that this all would have happened, none of us would have believed it!

It's bizarre, isn't it? In the best possible way! So good of them all, and especially Nick this time - letting two complete strangers into his home to interrogate him about 7 minutes worth of footage from an everyday soap episode he wrote more than 4 years ago, and he gets literally nothing in return. So much love for all the writers who've been so generous with their time.

Ha, I keep going to reply to people about the wedding and stuff, then deciding against it. One year of bitterness, achieved. Nothing will ever, EVER convince me that story hung together or made sense and there's no point debating people about it because they'll never change my mind and I'll never change theirs.

LOL I love the Chryedian passion.
It just goes to show what a strong fanbase Chryed had, and still has. A year on and the fandom is still strong.

I really share his regret that the days of 'Arthur steals £50' have gone, in favour of big, headline-grabbing stories.
The BIG stories rarely have as much emotional impact. It's why I much prefer Neighbours these days - it's more character-driven, slow build, small stories that build and build and become intricate webs of secrets and fears and determination and love where every character's action has implication for all the others and where the viewer can't predict what will happen.
That's why the initial Chryed story was so good - each of the characters (Syed, Christian, Zainab, Masood, Tamwar, Amira, Ian, Jane, Lucy, Qadim) all had a viewpoint and motivation and everything that each one of them did had implications for all the others. That's why it was gripping - because there was no right or wrong, no easy solution.
