Maybe. Anyone can speculate, but at the end of the day, I just don't see why it's that relevant really. Midge still got his knighthood, and he's done pretty well out of it, and people know who he is. There's probably some floor manager that worked bloody hard on live aid that hasn't been mentioned at all. I just think it's all a bit trivial really.
Indeed. None of this is going to lessen sympathy for Geldof, nor should it.

To be honest, I really think the last thing on Midge Ure's mind and Bob Geldof's mind was who was getting the credit for Live Aid. I think they both just wanted the hungry people to get fed.

It was on Midge Ure's mind. I didn't bring it up though, someone posted a link and I was responding to that ;-)

That's not actually true, at the time there was quite an amount of bitterness, and in fairness Midge did deserve more credit and a better spot in Live Aid

Also some posts are saying Midge got a knighthood - Is this correct?
I don't think he did, but I could be wrong.
I do wish that in this modern age, toxicology reports would come back quicker than they do.
As if a family suffering the sudden and unexplained death of a loved one so young aren't struggling enough to take in the terrible shock. Having to wait for an answer must be terrible.
Especially when the media and the general public are wanting to know their business too.

I wonder if you paid privately would it be done quicker, or if it is even a possibility to pay privately.

I was wondering if maybe the Family have been given an idea of the cause of death and that maybe the test results are just a formality for the Coroner?
The last line of Anita Debney's tribute 'You almost made it' - makes me unfortunately think that Anita has some information to indicate that it was something Peaches did that contributed to her death - whether it's her lack of adequate nutrition, or whatever.

I really hope that's not the case.
The same thing crossed my mind and am starting to think Bobs statement may have been more telling than it initially seemed. I hope I am proved completely and utterly wrong though.
It was a lovely tribute and very touching that she can offer some practical assistance to help the family and those little boys as they grow up.

.
No he didn't, I don't even think technically Bob got knighthood either since hes not technically British, but I could be wrong on that one. I like the label Sir Bob though
Also Sir Cliff is not Sir Cliff cause they have to be knighted by their birth name

Isn't that enough?
He also took in the daughter of his ex-wife and her new lover, who also killed himself. That can't have been easy.
My post was a sarcastic reply to someone who couldn't understand why Bob Geldof was being painted as a tragic figure. Most people can see that the Geldof's have had more than their fair share of heartache.
You can find it sad, yes. That does not mean that you have to accept the almost complete turnaround of posters on what they thought of Peaches now she is dead. Many posters on here are expressing sadness where if she had been still alive would be expressing other sentiments entirely. It's hypocritical.
I think you need to give an example of this rather than just randomly making assumptions.. I've never posted anything about her in the past and probably never would have if she hadn't died suddenly at a young age. I think it's perfectly natural to feel sympathy for the Geldoff family and for her husband and children.
That would explain the police attending because of concerns for her welfare.
So very sad that her youngest son was all alone with her, just like Tiger was with Paula.
Makes me feel that there is more likely to be death by natural causes, she adored her kids.
Rest in Peace.
She's saying nothing in that piece that hasn't already been said by countless others about the cloying and distasteful nature of a lot of social media 'grieving'. I preferred her initial stance of saying nothing at all. It was more meaningful.

Waiting to find out must be awful.

His wiki page claims he has an OBE
Wiki inaccuracy I suppose.

You must have missed the post of mine RS was replying to. To not read both posts would mean that you might miss the context.

I wish people on Instagram would stop tagging Thomas in pics they're posting of Peaches, they're something off putting about that.
No idea. Maybe it was because I only suggested it as she was a fan of attachment parenting. Now it's in the media maybe they don't mind.

That is a fantastic article and surprisingly erudite and humble. Fair play to Katie Hopkins for that.
